Students learn to perform patient examinations, collect vital signs, and administer medications as prescribed by a veterinarian. They will also explore anesthesia, animal nursing, surgical assistance, diagnostic laboratories, and electrocardiograms. This experience also includes working with computer applications, recognizing behavioral signs in small animals, and educating and counseling clients on pet nutrition.
