On June 26, 2017, the Youngstown Business Incubator was awarded a grant from Burton D. Morgan Foundation for the development of a commercialization program for additive manufacturing technologies. Through a partnership with America Makes and Team NEO, outreach was conducted to downselect potential assets for commercialization. Once assets were identified, they were put through a 3 phase program; America Makes Commercialization Tool, a Path to Market Assessment, and selection of a Student Team.
Recently, the Commercialization Program expanded its efforts to support any Ohio-based organization, including but not limited to private companies, nonprofits, and higher education entities, who has an Additive Manufacturing asset or Intellectual Property they are interested in commercializing.
If you have or work for an organization interested in these free commercialization services, please reach out to Ashely Totin at [email protected]. This program is funded by the Burton D. Morgan Foundation.
